Premier says "well done" to Gospel Tent at Country Music Festival
Posted: 29-Jan-2010
"Tamworth, NSW, hosts the Annual 'Country Music Festival' in January.
Last week saw many volunteers helping with childrens' ministry and the
music ministry. We had hundreds of people come through the tent for
free drinks in the 38 degree heat. As one of the bands played, we had a
surprise visit from our Local Tamworth MP Peter Draper, as well as the
NSW Premier Kristina Keneally. A member of our evangelism team, Dawn
Clay Obst, 'scooped' Ms Keneally in to the tent from the main street
and offered her some refreshments. I was able to explain the purpose of
the tent in brief as well as my role in the North West of NSW in
setting up and supporting SRE teachers and Chaplains in Public Schools.
Ms Keneally mentioned her own children attending SRE classes." - Jonathan Harris
