Westport is located in Port Macquarie, on the mid-North coast of NSW, about 400km north of Sydney. The school was established in 1981 as a co-educational comprehensive high school, currently with about 710 students from Years 7-12. A support unit for students
with disabilities is also integrated into the school.

Background

Straight from school, I completed an Engineering degree and worked in the Royal Australian Air Force for a few years. Wanting to be better equipped to teach young people about Jesus, I went to Bible College and was employed by a few different churches
helping young people growing in knowing Jesus. I am now completing some further study (in Education) while I chat to high school students about Jesus. I am also married with two boys in their primary years.

News & Events

This is now my second year teaching at Westport and I am looking forward to getting to know our new year 7 students, classes beginning smoothly, helping with peer support, two seminars with Jesus Racing and Word of Life ministries, monthly pancake breakfasts
and hanging out with interested students at JOLT (Jesus over Lunchtime) on Wednesdays.

Thank you for your prayers, your concern and your messages. It is greatly encouraging to know many are praying for the work in Westport High. Thank our Father for the excellent opportunity we have for Jesus to be introduced to students in NSW schools -
and thank God for our partners: volunteers, supporters, advisors, students, Board members and churches. Please pray that I might get to know our Year 7s quickly and help them settle well into high school - as well as continue to build on positive relationships
amongst older students and staff. And more than anything, please pray that in all things, God's glory will be revealed and that He will draw many to Himself.

Personal

One of the major developmental tasks of teenagers is the exploration and establishment of their own personal worldview. As part of this, I am excited to be helping students to see their world through God’s eyes, and to introduce them to Jesus.
